Bermuda Opens Application Process for Casino Resort Locations
The island nation of Bermuda is now welcoming proposals for casino resort sites! Organizations hoping to construct a new resort or integrate a gaming establishment into an existing one can submit their plans for location authorization.
Richard Schuetz, the head of the Bermuda Casino Gaming Commission, declared the application period officially open today.
Legislation passed in 2014, the Bermuda Casino Gaming Act, allows for a total of three casino licenses to be issued. It’s crucial to understand that interested parties and proprietors cannot simply apply for a casino license directly. They must first obtain approval for their desired site.
Formed last February, the Commission will meticulously assess all applications and provide suggestions to the appropriate Minister. While no specific timeframe for the application procedure has been announced, Schuetz stressed their dedication to expediting the process.
The Commission’s Chairman, Alan Dunch, is optimistic that these resort casinos will be advantageous for Bermuda, generating employment opportunities for residents and attracting additional investment.
“We are certain that a properly regulated, professional gaming experience will enhance our tourism offerings, providing our guests with the amenities they anticipate from a top-tier travel destination,” he remarked.
