A report from Sky News suggests that Allwyn, the Czech firm competing for the UK National Lottery, will soon name David Craven as its new Chief Executive. This is significant because Craven is a major figure in the gaming industry, having led prominent companies such as The Tote and World Gaming. His expertise in the digital realm is likely why Allwyn, a subsidiary of the Sazka Group, is eager to have him join their ranks. They anticipate that his appointment will strengthen their bid for the upcoming lottery license.

The contest is intense, with the incumbent operator, Camelot, determined to retain its profitable agreement. The UK Gambling Commission is expected to announce its decision later this year.
