Connecticut Launches Self-Exclusion Gateway for Gamblers
The Connecticut Agency for Consumer Safeguards (ACS) has declared the initiation of a self-exclusion gateway that will enable gamblers within the state to voluntarily prohibit themselves from participating in gambling activities in Connecticut, in an attempt to implement robust responsible gambling policies.
The gateway is backed by ACS collaborators, including the Connecticut Council on Problem Gambling, the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, the Connecticut Lottery Corporation, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe, and the Mohegan Tribe.
“We are aware that the introduction of expanded gaming in Connecticut has generated significant enthusiasm,” stated ACS Commissioner Michelle H. Siegel.
